How to play Mafia
Mafia is a social deduction game. A few players secretly belong to the Mafia. Everyone else is the Town. The Mafia wins by outnumbering the Town. The Town wins by voting out every Mafia member.
1. Roles are dealt
Each player sees one secret role on their phone. Mafia members learn who their partners are.
2. Night
Everyone “sleeps”. The Mafia chooses a victim. The Doctor chooses someone to protect. The Detective investigates one player. In PlayMafia every phone gets a prompt, so nobody can tell who has a power.
3. Dawn
The victim is revealed unless the Doctor saved them.
4. Day
Everyone discusses and accuses. A timer keeps the talk moving, and every phone rings when it ends.
5. Vote
Each living player votes for who to eliminate. The player with the most votes is out and their role may be revealed. Then night falls again.
Winning
Town wins when all Mafia are out. Mafia wins when they equal or outnumber everyone else. The Joker wins alone if the town votes them out.
